Erica Gosich Rose aka EGR (pronounced Eager) grew up in Burlington; a small, quiet suburban city just a train ride away from Toronto, Canada. Her fascination of the creative arts began at a young age, EGR’s strong interest in graffiti and street art intensified while attending the Illustration program at Sheridan College, the aesthetics and concepts of which are still featured prominently in her work today. She received multiple illustration opportunities for major TO newspapers, and music and style magazines from LA to NY, before moving to Toronto in 2000. There, EGR directed and created art for a fully animated music video, El Dorado by Brass Munk, prior to a brief stint creating and curating Artist Lounge, a downtown gallery space showcasing local urban art and music. Following several appearances creating art at concerts, galleries, music videos, events and live-to-air on Canada’s national music station, MuchMusic, EGR’s art gained wide spread recognition. Today, her art has been featured in numerous international print and online publications and books, cd covers, bikes, skateboards and murals, as well as various galleries and spaces around the world.
